Looking for the Fisher-Price Rainforest Melodies and Lights Deluxe Gym? Many people are.
For decades people have been hanging colorful objects over baby’s crib. They encouraged development in so many ways. And, now we have a modern version of the old idea. Improved upon, of-course, but still intended for the positive stimulation needed for child development.
Designed for use from birth on up, the Fisher-Price Rainforest Melodies and Lights Deluxe Gym functions above a soft mat and offers lights, music and nature sounds.
To keep baby safely occupied the gym has an array of soft and cute toys that hang from the cross bars. And others, lower down where they can be touched and played with.
There is a shinny mirror, a colorful toucan, cuddly monkey, cute elephant, tall giraffe, spinner with beads, a parrot and a frog. Overhead are shinny butterflies and a crinkly leaf.
The toys link to the bars and to the giraffe and can be moved around to stimulate reasoning and discovery.
The activity center encourages natural development both physically and mentally. Toddlers soon recognize the rainforest sounds, such as chirping birds.
Mom can turn on the music which will play for 20 minutes, or the rainforest sounds which also play 20 minutes. And there are lights and other musical sounds which come on for a few seconds at a time in reaction to baby’s movements.
Fisher-Price products are well respected and therefore carried in most places that sell better toys. But, when I shopped around in Southern California, I didn’t find as many carried this gym as I had expected.
So I scouted out the best on-line possibilities and found the widest selection and the best price at Amazon.com. They have the Fisher-Price Rainforest Gym, On Sale at under $50. In my shopping around, I have seen it as high as $69.99.
You may prefer to buy it locally if your stores carry it, but you don’t need to pay over $50 for it.
